The Laowa 25mm f/2.8 is a compact ultra macro lens created for extreme close-ups. The up to 5x magnification it offers makes it possible to photograph miniature subjects.The optical system of the Laowa 25 mm f/2.8 Ultra Macro consists of 8 elements arranged in 6 groups. Among the lenses is an ultra-low dispersion glass element, which is responsible for reducing chromatic aberration. The entire construction provides images with high sharpness and faithful colour rendering. The f/2.8 - f/16 adjustable aperture and relatively short focal length for this type of lens provide a comfortable depth of field. The variable magnification scale (2.5x - 5x) is perfect for photographing subjects of different sizes, such as insects, plants or details of larger objects. The lens cannot be used for applications other than macro photography.
